Our First Georgia Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Isn't it a great tree? We trekked through feet of snow to chop down the best tree in the area! Well, actually we just went down the street to Home Depot. You can't get a better tree for $35! We decorated the tree on Sunday afternoon while watching football. How else should a Sunday afternoon be spent?! Here's to a wonderful holiday season!

A Dining Room with a Table and Chairs!

We have a great dining room and for almost a month it was empty. Then we got the table, but had no chairs. Now we finally have a table and chairs! The windows are still bare, but I did buy fabric for roman shades. Maybe by the time I post Christmas pictures I'll have the shades up!

We bought new bedroom furniture, but the bedroom is lacking many things! Therefore, I will reserve pictures until I've done a few things to spruce it up.

Four Peas in a Pod

Karie and Kyle came to visit Atlanta from Stratford, CT. We had tons of fun! We went to a fantastic dinner at a restaurant in the Virginia Highlands area of Atlanta called Wisteria. It was amazing! Karie and I had tons of fun shopping while Mark and Kyle went golfing. They had more than a few stories to tell at dinner both nights. It was so nice to see them and hang out. We always laugh so hard when we're together...it makes for great memories!

We're moved in!

Well we moved into our new house about 4 weeks ago and things are moving along. We've had some issues with the builder regarding the cable wiring in the house, but we think it's finally starting to settle down. We love the house! We finally have enough space...well, until we add a little one. While some rooms only need a few finishing touches, other rooms are in need of quite a bit. Soon it will all come together.

This is the living room. It still needs some pictures on the wall. But it's warm and cozy!

The Inside of the House

The kitchen is huge and will hopefully house all of the items we got for our wedding that have been in storage for the three years we lived in New York. The dining room has these great windows. Now I just have to figure out what window treatments to use!

We Bought a House in Georgia!

It's so exciting to be homeowners again! We closed on Friday, August 31. We began looking for a house when Mark got a fantastic job at the end of July. For those of you not familiar with Atlanta, the traffic here is horrible! Therefore we wanted to stay as close to the perimeter (another name for a beltway like in DC and Baltimore) as possible. We had been looking at numerous townhouses and single family homes and finally decided on a townhouse in a new community called Telfair Gates. It is in the town of Sandy Springs, which is just north of Atlanta. It has three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a living room, dining room, sun room, and kitchen. It has high ceilings on the 2nd and 3rd floors and beautiful built-ins in the living room. We are supposed to move in on Saturday, September 22. We went to Lowe's this afternoon to buy appliances, bathroom accessories, a grill, and tons of other stuff...it was so much fun! Now it's time to repack the stuff we just unpacked in the apartment.
